Gerrards Cross Computer Club - Visitor Information

We welcome visitors at our meetings. Please come to one of our meetings and see what we can offer you. Under normal circumstances you can just turn up at one of our meetings on the second Thursday each month at the Gerrards Cross Memorial Hall. Until we are able to resume our normal meetings you will need to request a link to join us on Zoom. Contact information is on our contacts page.

We start each meetings with a brief Question and Answer session where anyone can also bring news from the world of technology. This is followed by a more structured session where we have a presentation, usually from one of our members, on a previously advertised topic. This is usually quite informal and you will have every opportunity to raise your own questions.

As we are currently prevented from holding face to face meetings we are holding our meetings on-line using ZOOM but when the situation returns to normal we intend to resume holding our regular meetings at the Gerrards Cross Memorial Hall. You need to ask us for the Zoom link to join the meeting - see the Contact page. Note that the link is specific to each meeting.

We have a mixture of enthusiastic members who are, or have been, professionals (currently employed and retired) as well as many members who are interested users who want to learn more.

Our meetings start at 8pm and usually finish around 9:30 10:00 pm. In normal times after that many of us retire to the bar which gives an opportunity for socialising and answering specific questions on a one to one basis.

In between meetings we support our members via an on-line forum where issues can be discussed and problems answered. This forum is only available to subscribing members of GXCC.

We do have recurring costs and therefore we ask our members to pay an annual subscription of £30. For visitors your first visit is free so you can sample what we offer. If you want to visit again during the next 12 months we will ask you to contribute £5 towards our expenses.
