Zoom

Our meetings are all blended Zoom meetings. The main meeting takes place at the Gerrards Cross Community Centre and is transmitted via Zoom to the homes of those members who are unable to travel.

The presenter is normally at the Memorial Centre but could have chosen to present from home via Zoom.

Joining a meeting via Zoom

Before each meeting all members of GXCC receive a meeting invitation via the group forum which contains a link to join the meeting.

Visitors wishing to attend a meeting via Zoom must obtain the link by using the Contact Us page.

Required equipment and software for using Zoom

To participate with Zoom a PC/laptop/phone or tablet with a microphone and speaker and a facility to connect to the Internet is required. A video camera is optional.

Zoom can installed on your device but this is not essential. The link received by members and visitors will automatically install Zoom on your device and connect to the meeting. It is advisable to action this link well before the meeting to allow for Zoom downloads/installation/updates to complete, these do not normally take very long and once complete the meeting host will permit your access. If you connect before the meeting host you may be placed into a “waiting room” until the meeting host permits your access.

If you experience problems with connecting via Zoom please use our Contact Us page
